TOKYO INTERNATIONAL ANIME FAIR 2010

The Tokyo International Anime Fair, held annually at Odaiba's Big Sight convention center, is the Japanese animation industry trade fair and one of the largest animation related events in the world. It is attended by over 250 Japanese and foreign tv and film production companies, as well as toy, game and software developers.
In 2010, the Tokyo International Anime Fair will be open to the general public on March 27 and 28, 2010. March 25 and 26 will be business days, during which the fair is open only to registered members of the industry and media.
The Anime Fair's main attraction is its Trade Fair, featuring booths by numerous Japanese production companies, such as Toei Animation, Bandai Namco and Tezuka Productions, as well as foreign companies from around the world. Larger booths featuring theaters, live shows and special appearances by character actors.




Other attractions of the fair include the School Zone which exhibits a number of animation related schools and universities, such as the Toei Animation Institute and the Osaka University of Arts. They display the work of their current students as well as promote their courses and facilities to prospective students.
An area, called the Creator's World, showcases the work of talented young new artists to the industry, with the purpose of supporting and promoting the work of the next generation of creators. And every year there is a Special Exhibition of some animation related topic, for example, manga and anime museums of Japan.
Additionally the fair has a shopping area, known as the Anime Bazaar, with stores selling all kinds of anime related goods including cells, posters, trading cards and figurines.
